Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is an orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants located at Pinnawala village, 13 km northeast of Kegalle town in Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka. Pinnawala has the largest herd of captive elephants in the world.

Tour Plan

Morning Starting from Colombo (Airport or Hotel as your request)and Leave to Kandy.

Visit in Kandy Dalada Maligawa" the Temple where the sacred Tooth of the Lord Buddhas.

Drive around the Kandy lake, then will lead you on to the Royal Botanical Gardens, originally the pleasure gardens of the sinhalese queens, Start return way and visit the tea factory and tea plantation at Giragama plantation itself. And combined with Local Spice and Herbal grove.

Finally visit to the World famous Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawela. Here you see the feeding and bathing of the baby elephants, after drive dawn back to Colombo (Airport or Hotel as your request).
